Building new-style rural areas has been defined as one of the important tasks in the process of socio-economic development in Ninh Binh province. Especially, contributions of the cooperative economy sector and cooperatives have brought about great changes in rural areas and agriculture.

The Government has approved a national programme on digital transformation in building new-style rural areas, towards smart rural development, for the 2021 - 2025 period.

So far this year, the northern province of Ninh Binh has mobilized more than 2.28 trillion VND (98.13 million USD) to build its new-style rural areas.

Infrastructure development appeared as the most outstanding achievement of the national target programme on new-style rural area building in the 2010-2015 period, according to Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat.
